Microsoft NetMeeting enables real-time voice and data communications over the Internet. This includes the ability for two or more people to share applications, transfer files, view and illustrate a shared whiteboard, and chat all over standard connections. NetMeeting 2.0 supports the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) H.323 standard for audio conferencing. This enables you to call and talk to people running other H.323 Internet phone products, such as the Intel Internet Phone.
