Performance Assessment Techniques

A Performance Assessment is an alternative to
traditional techniques of testing employee
achievement. While traditional testing requires
employees to reply to questions (frequently on the
multiple-choice test), performance assessment requires
workers to demonstrate their understanding and
abilities, such as the process through which they
solve problems. Performance checks measure abilities
like the capability to integrate understanding across
multiple disciplines, the ability to lead group-work,
and develop an action plan when faced with a brand new
situation. Performance checks are also used for
identifying if employees from different regions are
achieving higher standards than others. This page
