Ancient Conquest is a sea borne real time strategy game set in the ancient world of Greek and Persian mythos. The playing field consists of an isometric view of the seas and islands in each 'world' where you fight for dominance with barbarians/Persian AI opponents in single player and up to 8 other players via a network. The objective of the (single player) game is to get the Golden Fleece. To reach the objective, you will have to build your navy, the legendary ship Argo, earn money by gathering natural resources, like amber, fish and Leviathans and fending off monsters such as harpies and sea-serpents, survive natural disasters as well as the Persian and Barbarian fleets who will attack your ships and settlements. Once you have achieved this aim (which is by no means easy) you can play on a local area network or across the Internet in a number of pre-defined scenarios or even maps you have prepared yourself as Ancient Conquest comes with its own mission editor.
