Vypress Messenger

Version
3.5.1
Vypress Messenger is a program for sending text
messages with attachments in real-time, without using
any additional servers, from one computer to another
or a few others.
The program supports several messages transferring
protocols, including its own protocol, for guaranteed
distribution of direct messages, using a TCP protocol
and a multiple-address file distribution, using UDP
and IP Multicast. Besides this, the program supports a
standard SMB protocol (for compatibility with
WinPopup, ‘net send’ and Unix-realizations Samba) and
mail broadcasting via SMTP protocol, as well as
receiving new mail via POP3/IMAP4 protocols.
The main benefit of the program is its fault-tolerance
and independency from the network infrastructure.
Vypress Messenger has been originally developed and
specially optimized for LAN. It doesn’t use staging
servers, and that way the user can send and receive a
message even if all of the company’s servers are out
of service due to some breakdown or an external
attack. Vypress Messenger can automatically scan the
network to obtain the computer addresses and also lets
you select the addresses from a local or centralized
address book or ever manually enter the IP addresses
or the addresses of subnetworks for messages
distribution. For special circumstances, the program
provides the ability of sending high-priority messages
and creating macros for sending out preset messages
with a single mouse click.
The program also contains advanced methods of messages
logging and searching, multi-lingual interface
(English, Spanish, German, Russian and Italian) and
many other useful functions.
