The Philip Deem Software GetHost ActiveX Control can be dropped into any language that supports ActiveX thus enabling an application to support dns hostname and hostaddress lookups. The control can resolve hostnames from ip addresses, ip addresses from hostnames or full hostnames from partial names if the partial named machine is on your local network The GetHost control supports both synchronous and asynchronous socket calls. The cost of the control is 15.00 US and online registration is available. The unregistered version is unimpaired and comes with full functionality. The archive includes a Visual Basic 6 project both compiled and uncompiled and all runtime controls required for both for the project and the control.
