The system of computer – aided design of sheet layouts
is intended
to introduce automation into the process
of creating sheet
layouts at the enterprises witch
produce furniture, window
frames and other products in
which the rectangle parts of sheet
materials are used.
As a rule, this task is characterized by a huge
labour – intensiveness (especially in case of a great
number of
parts) and often leads to non-optimum
result, which effects the
final product cost because
of incomplete use of sheet area.
