The Sonork Instant Messaging Server software allows
companies to create and control their own (instant)
messaging system. It provides a highly effective and
efficient platform for professional and secure
workgroup collaboration on the Intranet. It can also
be used as a secure virtual private instant messaging
and collaboration network using Internet
infrastructure. The server supports up to 50.000
concurrently connected users, SOCKS, encryption up to
1024bit, has central administration, and connects to
MS Access or any ODBC-compliant SQL databases like
MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, Informix and Sybase. User
information and settings are stored centrally and can
be retrieved from anywhere in the world. Sonork
features an HTTP engine for web-to-Sonork messaging
and full Network Address Translation and SOCKS support
for complex networks. The download already includes
the client software which will be prepared during the
installation routine. The download also includes a
comprehensive server manual in HTML format. The Sonork
Client is small, fast, stable, secure and highly
customizable. It has a host of innovative features
like encryption, reply and query mode, full message
history, HTML templates, Selective Visibility, dual
Internet/Intranet mode, up to 10 group levels,
broadcasting, NetMeeting compatibility, and is free of
advertising. Sonork's plugin API allows developers to
add IM services to their own products or add
customized IM modules to the messenger. Our Intranet
and VPN Client/Server Software is listed separately in
this library. The Sonork Instant Messaging Server is
free of charge for small networks up to 5 users. For
larger networks very favourable licensing terms apply.
