											Version
											1.4.2

A Personal Diet Fitness Manager is a program designed
for those who are primarily interested in losing
weight and keeping track of nutritional intake on a
daily basis.
This program has many different ways of tracking your
progress so that you can start to see results soon to
encourage you to continue. It also tracks your daily
nutrient intake so you can check to see that your
eating habits keep you healthy. The USDA (United
States Department of Agriculture) database of over
6,200 food items with over thirty nutrients each is
used as input for your daily consumption and meals can
be made for ease of data selection. There are over 100
physical activities from which you can choose to keep
track of calories burned.
Your entire household can use this program with
separate files kept for each individual. Much effort
was put into the program to make it simple to use. In
addition to the standard Help files, at the bottom of
every screen is a button titled 'Please Explain This'.
When clicked, a screen is displayed with an
explanation of every control on that particular
screen. The 'How Do I...' selection in the Help files
explains how you accomplish tasks within the program.
Food selection can be through a search by name or by
food group - calories and nutrients are calculated by
food portion from the USDA database - physical
exercises can be searched by name - physical exercises
