Office & Home

Version
2.1
Office & Home (OH) links your office PC and your home
PC, so that you can transfer files between them.
Typically, your office PC has a local network IP
address, instead of a Internet IP address. On the
other hand, your home PC usually has an Internet IP
address. OH links these two PCs with ease. And
certainly, OH can also link two Internet-IP-addressed
PCs.
OH has two seperate programs, one for the PC without
an Internet IP, we call it "client", the other for the
PC with an Internet IP, we call it "server". But it is
not the usual server-client relation: the "client"
works in passive mode, while the "server" works in
active mode --- that is, the "client" accepts
instructions from the "server".
Usually you use OH like this:
1. Before you go home, start "client" on your office
PC, lock the PC with password, leave it there working.
2. At home, start "server". The "client" will connect
you immediately. After finishing your job, instruct
the "client" to power off.
