Star Explorer is the ultimate space simulator that
allows you to journey to the stars on your PC. The
program runs as a stand alone application or as a
screen saver. A star database can be searched by name,
distance, mass, luminosity and/or type. Using a
realistic algorithm, Star Explorer generates
fictitious planets and moons to explorer once you
arrive into a new system. Attractive textures have
been mapped and shaded to create a pleasant visual
experience. The user interface has been designed to be
simple and out of the way, so that you can enjoy your
journey through space. Requires DirectX.
